Walk like the Clappers
Circular walks between the villages of Sharpenhoe, Sundon and Harlington on top of the Chiltern Hills with fantastic views. There are three walks that are between 1.5 and 7 miles.
Whiteleaf Hill
Accesible walk in Whiteleaf Hill and Brush Hill nature reserves.
Watlington Hill
photo credit: Tambako the JaguarWatlington Hill is a magnificent area of chalk downland perched high above Watlington and a good place to see red kites. The 250 metre long path takes you from the car park through the woods to the edge of the chalk downland.

Penn Wood
Penn Wood is a large area of mixed woodland next to Penn Street Village, which has an area of grassland common and cricket pitch. There is car parking but no other facilities.

Common Wood
Common Wood is a semi-natural ancient woodland. It is largely beechwood but there are also strands of oak, aspen, an avenue of Douglas firs and Scots pine. The woods attract many different species of flora and fauna and in the spring
there are carpets of bluebells.

Linky Down
Linky Down is part of Aston Rowant National Nature Reserve, located at the top of
the Chiltern Hills and offering panoramic views over the Oxfordshire Vale. It is an
area of chalk downland notable for the large variety of wild flowers and butterflies
in the summer months.
